The quick guide is very clear. However, I have safely disabled the firewall and Kaspersky before installing the driver, because experience has shown that such actions (whether Brother, Garmin etc) prevent a smooth installation process. I have chosen the wireless network connection, but you should have a suitable USB cable (which was not there), that could be temporarily used for the wireless setup. It is not necessary, it is only recommended. Some customers have complained that the supplied toner cartridge did not last long. However, the package says: "This is a starter toner cartridge, use only for initial installation." I'll get an extra cartouche if it gets empty so fast. After the simple Lexmark M5170 driver installation, it has now printed with the first toner cartridge about 600 pages (about 50% with 300dpi). The Lexmark M5170 print quality is very good depending on the setting, the duplex printing is good and fast by hand. I have ever used a NoName toner cartridge for about 50 pages, no problem and also a good print image. Great device for a low price!
