Xerox DocuMate 5445 Scanner Driver. This Xerox DocuMate 5445 scanner is great and works perfectly for scanning many documents. I use this document scanner on my Window PC and everything goes perfectly. I also like digital versions of invoices, notices, contracts and anything else that comes to me in paper form and can not be dumped directly into the paper. For this I use the document management PaperPort and a quite ordinary flatbed scanner for years. But if you fall back a bit behind the current state, it is a tedious task to scan the stack of papers. That's why I allowed myself this device a few weeks ago, after the reviews here were so positive. I have to say that I have not regretted that. This Xerox DocuMate 5445 actually works very fast and the scan result is very satisfactory for me. Actually, I had expected that the cut sheet feeder occasionally would cause problems with a stack of different types of paper. Maybe not necessarily a paper jam or crumpled pages, but at least once the entry of two pages at the same time. I would have allowed it to do that, but I have not seen a problem (even once) despite hundreds of scanned pages.

Xerox DocuMate 5445 worked perfectly well, no matter whether the templates were folded, dog-eared or wrinkled. In addition, the scanner on the desk makes small. If you push all shaft and template support elements together, it has the footprint of about a DIN A4 sheet. When I need it, I just put it on the desk and in 10 seconds the scanner is ready for use. However, the only minor problem with compactness is that this device has: the fact that the tray for the ejected sheets is bent so much upwards and has no edge, which could eject the ejected originals, are already scanned sheets and often pushed from subsequent pages out of the pile. During scanning, you always have to use one hand and one eye to control paper ejection. But that does not really diminish my enthusiasm. Conclusion: A small design problem is a huge relief in the private, as well as smaller, compared to commercial use. I would buy the device again and again and my expectations of speed and quality of the mechanics were clearly exceeded. The price is high, but I can not really get upset about it.
